Download Festival is a mammoth rock festival, based at the spiritual home of rock – Donington Park, UK.
Old Sarum Tattoo Studio teamed up with Download to create the iconic Tattoo Tent, which has become tradition for the last 10 years. Their aim is to give you an awesome new tattoo and a great experience that you won’t be able to stop talking about!
Download’s 2024 headliners were Queens of The Stone Age, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold – with supports from Black Stone Cherry, The Offspring, Sum41 and Limp Bizkit to name a few. The artists worked hard months before the festival to collate a huge array of flash for the festival’s headlining bands, and for the first year ever this included a Ghost Flash Sheet!
The Tattoo Tent had over 30 artists working non-stop this year, tattooing hundreds of festival goers over the 3-day event. Ghost supplied the artists with free cartridges for the duration of the festival – making sure they were equipped with quality product that they could rely on! A huge shoutout to those artists putting in serious graft to make the festival something special. Gang up!
So.. all sounds awesome, right? Well, the fun didn’t stop there! UK comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan spent the weeks leading up to DLXXI in rehearsals Bleeding From Within, gearing up for a performance of Metallica’s iconic ‘Enter Sandman’ LIVE on the Opus Stage, and you know what? They nailed it. During the hilarious episode that was aired on Sky Max, Romesh decided to surprise the band with a tattoo of their logo on his leg from Darren – the owner of Old Sarum using Ghost Pink Cartridges (crushed it). Download Festival 2025 will be with us in no time – we’re stoked to announce another year of support for Old Sarum and their well-established Tattoo Tent!
In addition to this, Old Sarum will be touring with a list of world-renowned bands across the UK. Working alongside artists which include, Metallica, Bowling For Soup, Steel Panther, Black Stone Cherry, Halestorm, Korn, Airbourne, Bryan Adams and The Offspring. Darren and his team work hard to offer a unique pre-show experience for the fans while supporting the band, and Ghost are stoked to be supporting them every step of the way!
